he is slender and sleek
made to move with speed,
shaped like a torpedo.
his flesh holds a mirror to the light,
his silver lines reflecting in the night.
each move he makes is strategic.
he does not fear the diving deep.
he sets his eyes on his inheritance,
he travels the distance to reach it.
his confidence comes from above.
he feels the Father’s love
in the gifts bestowed upon him.
he senses threats from afar.
he is a rockstar in the deep.
he swiftly builds up speed,
he leaps above the surface
disentangles the lines of men,
but only when he needs to.
when he speaks, the sea listens.
he is the peregrine falcon of the ocean.
There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. (1 Corinthians 12:4-7 NIV)
